Staff Bios

Kevin Perrien President/Funeral Director

Kevin grew up in Sutton and graduated from Sutton High School in 1993. He graduated from Midland Lutheran College in 1997 and then attended mortuary school in Kansas City, Kansas graduating in 1998. Upon graduation, he worked in the Nebraska Panhandle before returning to Sutton in 2004. He is married to Tonya Perrien and they have four children, Jackson, Dayvie, Garrison and Kennedy. In his spare time he enjoys sporting events and keeping up with his family.


Shaun Farmer Vice-President/Funeral Director

Shaun is life-long Geneva resident graduating from Geneva High School in 1998. He graduated from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2002 and then attended mortuary school in Mesa, Arizona, graduating in 2003. Upon graduation, he worked for a brief time in Omaha before returning to Geneva in 2004. He is the 5th generation of Farmer's to be involved in the Funeral business. He is married to Heidi (Lightwine) Farmer and they have two daughters, Ashlyn & Leah, and a son, Dane. He is a member of the United Methodist Church in Geneva and is actively involved in the community serving on the Fillmore Central School Board, Fillmore County Foundation, and Lions Club. Outside of work he enjoys all outdoor activities.


Mike Brower Partner/Funeral Director

Mike was born and raised in Geneva. He started a new chapter in his life when he left Geneva after graduating from Fillmore Central High School in 2004 and went on to play college football at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota for five years. After completing his schooling at NDSU with a Bachelor's Degree in 2009, he continued his education in Kansas City, Kansas, where he went to mortuary school and graduated in 2011. Mike then started his one year apprenticeship with Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home in Lincoln, Nebraska in 2011 and after completing his apprenticeship was hired on as a full-time member of their staff until 2014. Mike returned to Geneva to take over for his father, John, as a 2nd generation funeral director in the funeral business. He is married to Heather (Carlson) Brower and they have one son, Emmitt Brower and one daughter, Everly Brower. His interests outside of work include; hunting, fishing, BBQ, coaching, golfing and time with his family and friends.
