Sutton, NE resident Allen H. Huber, 79, passed away January 30, 2021, at Bryan Medical Center West Campus in Lincoln, NE.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 5, 2021, at Hope Reformed Church in Sutton, NE with Rev. Scott Henry officiating. Interment will follow at the Sutton Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from 1 p.m. – 7 p.m., with the family present from 5 p.m. – 6 p.m., at Sutton Memorial Chapel in Sutton, NE.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Sutton Community Home Foundation in Sutton, NE.

Allen was born June 12, 1941, in rural Sutton, NE, to Harold and Clara (Zimbelman) Huber. Allen attended Farmers Valley school and graduated from Sutton High School with the class of 1960. After high school, Allen worked for John Deere in Sutton and then went to Ft. Leonard Wood, MO for basic training for the Army and was in the reserves.

Allen and LeAnna Griess were married on April 2, 1965. To this union, they had two children, Brenda Lee and LeAllen. Allen farmed the rest of his life beginning with his brother Milt, then with son-in-law Walt Hahn. He continued farming with John Workentine of Grafton, NE.

Allen enjoyed the outdoors including fishing, hunting, and working on different projects in the shop. He enjoyed doing puzzles and Sudoku. Best of all he loved spending time and visiting with family and friends.

Allen is survived by his wife, LeAnna of Sutton, NE; his son, LeAllen (Lori) Huber of Lincoln, NE; granddaughter, Amanda (Dustin) Nunnenkamp of Sutton, NE; great-granddaughters, Collins Lee and Landyn Ann of Sutton, NE; grandson, Dustin (Kailen) Hahn of Lincoln, NE; great-granddaughter, Harper Lee of Lincoln, NE; grandson, Kale Hahn of Sutton, NE; sister, Barbara Lieb of Sutton, NE; sister-in-law, Ruth Huber of Sutton, NE; and brother-in-law, Morris (Talitha) Griess of Sutton.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Brenda; father and mother-in-law, Martin and Esther Griess; brother, Milt; and brothers-in-law, Gilbert Griess and Chris Lieb.
