Milt was born January 11, 1944, in rural Hamilton County near Sutton, NE, to Harold and Clara (Zimbelman) Huber. Milt attended Farmers Valley school thru 8th grade and graduated from Sutton High School with the class of 1962. Milt joined the US Army in 1965, spending one year overseas in Germany, and was discharged in 1967.

Milt and Ruth Ann Griess were married April 26, 1975. To this union, they were blessed with two children, Stacy Ann and Tony M. Milt farmed with his brother Allen, and then worked for George Bros in Sutton, driving the propane truck and visiting with customers, until his retirement. In retirement, he took joy in helping Neal Carpenter with harvest each year.

Milt was a member of Hope Reformed Church in Sutton and the Sutton American Legion Argonne Post #61.

Milt enjoyed coffee at BG’s, fishing, mowing his lawn, tracking the fog days and the weather, listening to “Green Onions” around the fire pit, and doing word searches. One of his great joys was spending time with his family, playing Yahtzee and “card” games, and spending time with his grandson, Simeon. They had a special bond, strengthened over ice cream when Simeon would come to their house each afternoon.

Milt is survived by his wife, Ruth of Sutton, NE; his children, Stacy and Martin Kimpston of Leelanau County, MI; and Tony and Erin Huber of Sutton, NE; and his grandson, Simeon Charlie Huber of Sutton, NE. He is also survived by his brother, Allen (LeAnna) Huber, and his sister, Barbara Lieb, all of Sutton, NE; brothers-in-law, Ted (Shirley) Griess, Ron Griess, both of Sutton, NE; and Kurt (Renae) Griess, of Aurora, NE; sister-in-law, Kathy (Doug) Douglas, of Sutton, NE; mother-in-law, Anna Griess, of Sutton, NE; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Milt was preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law, Simeon Griess; brothers-in-law, Gilbert Griess and Chris Lieb; and sister-in-law, Leota Griess.
