Levi Patrick Jester was born on August 1, 1997, in Holdrege, NE to Lynn & Sussie (Schescke) Jester. He attended Franklin Public Schools most of his life and graduated in 2016. Levi then attended North Central Kansas Technical College and began studying to pursue his dream of making a career out of welding. Levi had a true passion for welding and after graduating from college in 2017, he went to work on the pipeline. He loved what he did every day, always bringing home stories of the new friends he had made and the new places he had been. Levi’s love for the outdoors shined through him in everything he did. Going on fishing trips with his father, brother, family and friends was one of his favorite things to do. He spent many winters making trips to South Dakota to go ice fishing. If Levi wasn’t fishing, he was hunting. If he wasn’t hunting, he was setting up and checking trail cams to see if he could find the next best place to hunt. Hunting was a pastime that Levi shared with his closest friends and family.

Levi always led a very active life and he was always on the move. He had a great love for sports and agriculture. He was an active member in the Franklin FFA. His passion for sports was something he did not hide. He loved to play football alongside his friends and he also was part of the Franklin basketball team. Trap was something Levi shared with his brother and sister, along with his friends. He loved to get out on the line and shoot sporting clays in any kind of weather. Baseball was something that Levi lived for. He began playing at a young age, his summers were always full of games and practice for the sport he loved most. He played legion baseball in Alma, NE. The people he met through playing baseball quickly became his family.

No matter how busy Levi’s life was he always made time for family. Nothing was more important to him than his family and friends. Levi loved his niece and nephews beyond words, he often said that being an uncle was his favorite thing in life. He always lit up the lives of the people around him with the light that he carried with him everywhere he went. If Levi was around, you knew that you would have something to smile or laugh about. Levi left an impression on everyone he met, whether it was for a short time or not. He was someone you knew you could always count on if you needed a helping hand. He enjoyed helping out on his family farm. He spent many spring and fall hours in the fields.

Levi is survived by his parents, Lynn & Sussie Jester; siblings, April Schescke; Nicole Jester & Michael George; Cody Jester & Fiancé Sadey Mitchell; and Devin & Chris Johnson; niece, Kaelynn Johnson; nephews, Logan Blakemore; Ezekiel Johnson; and Elijah Johnson; grandparents, Marlys & Fred Jester and Bonnie Schescke; aunts; uncles; cousins; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Raymond Schescke and his maternal and paternal great-grandparents.
