Clay Center resident, Lynn A. Hagemeier, 85, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Fairview Manor in Fairmont, NE.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Grace Lutheran Church in Geneva, NE with Pastor Stephen Kruschel officiating. Interment will follow at the Clay Center Cemetery in Clay Center, NE, with military rites by the American Legion Mills-Schroder Post #81. Visitation will be Friday, from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m., at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Clay Center, NE.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church in Geneva, NE or Fairview Manor in Fairmont, NE.

Lynn A. Hagemeier was born August 16, 1931, in Beatrice, NE to Fred and Anna (Brinkmeyer) Hagemeier. He received his education at Beatrice High School and graduated 1949. He married Ruth Lineweber on July 17, 1953, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Beatrice, NE. Lynn was drafted on December 3, 1952, and served in the Korean War until November 2, 1954, when he received an Honorable Discharge. He then farmed for fifteen years in rural Beatrice. Afterwards, he worked for Gooch Milling Company as a territory manager located in Clay Center.

Lynn was a member of the American Legion and a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Geneva. He enjoyed woodworking, yard and gardening, cooking, and spending time with his family.

Lynn is survived by wife, Ruth Hagemeier of Clay Center, NE; children, Janice Hoyt of Payson, AZ; Timothy (Linda) Hagemeier of Clay Center, NE; Alan (Nikki) Hagemeier of Woodbury, MN; grandchildren, Amanda (Dusty) Williams of Pocatello, ID; Billy (Brooke) Hoyt; Beth (Brent) Dirren both of Payson, AZ; Danielle (Matt) Muench of Omaha, NE; Carissa (Shad) Eberhardt of Clay Center, NE; Whitney Hagemeier and Austin Bonner of Hastings, NE; Jacob Hagemeier of Clay Center, NE; and Emma, Sophie, Ruby and Greta Hagemeier of Woodbury, MN; thirteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Glen and Lawrence and sister Arlene Humphrey, all of Beatrice, NE.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Gale; daughter, Donna; and brothers, Harvey; Vernon and Ivan.
